We are hiring a researcher in the field of Culture and media. You will be responsible for carrying out duties relevant to research, preparation of deliverables in the context of a particular EU program: ReInherit. We are looking for someone who is self-directed and thrives working in a fast-paced, inclusive and encouraging environment, in which expectations are high both for the quality and speed of work.


The overall goal of ReInHerit is to create a model for sustainable World Heritage management that will promote a digital dynamic European network of World Heritage stakeholders. The model will be based on a digital ecosystem where all stakeholders (museums, cultural heritage, decision-makers, professionals and communities) will have the tools and resources to communicate, experiment, renew and disseminate European cultural heritage.


Job Description:

  • Apply primary data collection tools which will help to collect data on the current methodologies, practices and new technologies used in the Cultural Heritage Sector, for communication, collaboration and exchange of good practices.
  • Interact effectively with the member(s) of staff that will be appointed as your supervisor(s) for the project
  • Conduct research, prepare research material, reports, articles, papers and plans, and undertake logistics (especially in the context of EU and Cultural Heritage) under the instructions of her/his supervisor(s).
  • Carry out communication and participate in meetings.
  • Enhancing the research activities and outreach of Arcada UAS, including the preparation of working papers, journal articles, other written material.



  • The successful candidate should have a PhD, be a doctorate student in Cultural Policy/Management, Cultural studies, Art History or equivalent.
  • Additional academic qualifications as well as demonstrated experience in academic work and experience in EU or other research projects will be considered a bonus.
  • Genuine interest for a researcher career at Arcada UAS
  • Fluency in English (research publications and project reporting). Knowledge of additional languages will be considered a bonus.
  • Willingness to write project applications for continued research funding.
